There are not that many books on the Na Pali Coast so by reading a few you get different author opinions, suggestions and observations. I bought an excellent condition used copy and am very happy with the book. You should know the entire book is black and white with no color photos. There is lot's of discussion on flowers and plants (a bit much for me but maybe not you). It's not a coffee table book but for the price of lunch in Hawaii it's well worth it - especially if you will be hiking anything past Hanakapiai.Jerrell StarkRedondo Beach, CA

This is a good book overall, but I was not expecting it to focus on flora so much. It contains a descent description of the trail and a lot of good historical information, but not the detailed guide I was looking for. It's also very short, and pretty dated by now.
