Getting this out of the way first. It needs a bit of editing. Wrong tenses at times, how a bike came into story arc. Small things. Now, I loved this story line. Pulled me right into the book. Rather, was lost in the story. It felt comfortable, like I was reading about dear friends. Paige is a kick-ass heroine. No doubt about it. Was sad to get to the end. But there will be more. I stayed up very late saying...just 1 more chapter. But the raccoon eyes were worth it. I regret nothing. Grab this and enjoy. Ok, off for a nap. 💖
This story begings in school, but life is the biggest teacher, and of course hard knocks. A journey to find family, make new friends, and having a kind soul helps in times of an Apocalypse, but surviving is tantamount. Paige’s journey to the Big Apple could take a bite out of her. Just follow her journey with her new friend, Dave. The action is great, and you can feel like you are traveling through the city with them. Therre are a lot of unanswered questions to be revealed, some here, and more in the next book. Don’t look up until the next book, when you look down, someone will be coming for you. Can’t wait.
Sorry but book was not aimed at me. I am more than a few years over 15 and not correct audience for this.

Michael Anderle has brought together a lot of really great writers to develop the Kutherian Sagas. They have developed stories that are exciting, entertaining that include great characters, plots and suspense. Due to the fact that they are extremely well written and leave the reader anxiously looking forward to the next book, they also leave a very satisfied feeling in the reader when the book has been completed.With not only this author but all authors in the Kutherian group I look forward to reading the non-Kutherian stories they have written. I would recommend to all readers that they Google the “Kutherian Timeline†to see the complete listing of Kutherian books and authors. It provides a visual understanding of the time and relationships of all the books which I found to be an absolute necessity since there are so many authors and related sagas.
What ruin this story fo me was the main character was so immature I had to keep reminding myself she was 21 not 14.OMG ! Every time she was told about the what was going on she would said I don't believe that or asked a million questions. I don't know how she is surviving and her is to be heroine ?? The storyline is good a one but main I like story where heroine smart, strong, resourceful. This girl didn't even think to get food or weapons !! Crazy !
The ending cut off was a bit more abrupt than what I was prepared for, however it was a great one. I really enjoyed this point of view, I haven't ventured tho many times into an alien aspect. I was pleasantly surprised!
