Whoever is translating these books, please take the work seriously.Your translation has multiple misspelled words, incorrect word choices, and issues with the printing process which has caused some pages to become faded and blurry like some elementary school project. Everyone wants this franchise to succeed and these very simple very real problem are not helping.

I really love reading this series. I love the characters and how they changed it from the web novel. While I do like this series I do have to agree with everyone else that there either needs to be a new translator or someone to double check everything. The translation is alright and I can understand what the story is saying but, it could be better.

There are a lot of spelling mistakes in this book. The publisher need to be more serious about editing.The content of the book is still engaging as the previuos ones

So again we catch up with our main character who is fighting to survive in a world that he was summoned to as a hero. The story line just keeps getting better as we are starting to learn more about what is actually going on with our main character and why he is leading the way in is quest to survive and return home to his world. I have read the first 4 volumes each at least twice and I have already read this one at least that many times already. Now I just have to wait for volume 6 to be released. I can't wait.

I love these stories, but I'm getting sick and tired of the bad translations. Typos is one thing, but things like translating 'console games' as 'consumer games', totally missing the point about German names and forgetting words entirely are quite another. The English publisher really needs to get an editor, preferably a bilingual one.

Poor editing and lazy translating aside, This is the fifth volume of the light novel adaptation of the web novel of the same name.A lot of my issues with this volume (and the last) come in the ever more apparent differences between the web novel and this adaptation. Where adaptations of other web novels I've read have added (sometimes significant) character development, interesting side characters, or expansions to the setting; it's becoming increasingly apparent that the expansion to light novel from web novel has come largely from adding a re-introduction to the setting and every single character upon their first appearance in every novel.These re-introductions may be due to the author themselves forgetting who the characters are as Naofumi takes leave of his senses and character to immediately trust yet another suddenly introduced character (see "Nice Guy" of the last volume) in the form of L'Arc Berg, a character who is obviously evil. No one with an apostrophe bisecting their name in a world where no one else's does, who prefers you call him that name, and carries a giant scythe with magic powers could be anything other than somebody to watch out for. Naofumi, however; bereft of his usual caution, genre savvy, and intelligence, immediately trusts this new person and opens up to him (and his companion, who is hardly expanded upon) even wishing he would join his party. This person is even described as a second Motoyasu in the extras, which anyone familiar with the series knows would be a red flag for Naofumi, Raphtalia, and possibly Filo. His trust and desire to form bonds with these two new characters really serves to cheapen the bonds he makes with the few people he learns to trust throughout the series otherwise and hurts the storytelling.The adaptation also takes the opportunity to meet the other heroes' party members away, leaving it as little more than a footnote at a banquet instead. Contrarily, the web novel handled this by developing most of these characters and showing how they worked as party members in their respective groups during the Cal Mira islands; showing, not telling, making a large difference in how I viewed and remembered these characters. The adapted story is starting to lean heavily on dialogue and tropes common to shounen style media, padding chapter length with repetitive single line taunts,pointless internal/external monologue (just go back a volume and read Firo's match with Fitoria and you'll see why she wasn't allowed to speak to humans in the web novel), and strange Deus Ex Machina (why assume someone would want to breathe in fog created by an explosive barrel oh Queen?).All that being the case, if your only interest is on Naofumi, Raphtalia, and Filo getting stronger and fighting things, while generally being better than the other heroes, you might want to add another star; and if you're completely tired of shounen tropes and vapid dialogue, you may want to rate it a star lower instead. I was generous at three, largely thanks to my enjoyment of the web novel version, and because of the art.

I really like this series, this volume in particular, it went in a different direction than the web novel did. I would absolutely give this 5 stars if not for the much needed proofreading or editing. More typos than the last volume, and that volume was almost perfect. I don't know where the mistakes came from, but I hope that the next volume gets a good look over to ensure quality, even if it means pushing the release date back a few months.

In this volume we get more questions than answers involving the waves and come to discover that there are other heroes from another world that believe that killing our plucky group will save their world. Could it be true or could they be mistaken or being mislead to let some greater evil have an easier time destroying everything?

Very interesting story of the Andrea Doria-Stockholm collision. My wife took it to read on a cruise, of all things.

Mostly good - the story of the collision, inquiry and settlement is well written. But it's all let down by the author's assertion in the last two chapters that the Stockholm went to scrap. Not true - she's still sailing as mv Astoria, and is credited as the second oldest passenger ship still in operation, after the Sea Cloud, which was built in the Thirties. And the problem is, if he could get a significant and easily checkable fact like that one wrong, how accurate is the rest of his research?

No doubt about it. Perfectly written. Just enough engineering stuff and a nice section after about efforts to retrieve artifacts and discussions of raising the ship. The scuba stuff was good for people who never have dived and know little about it. For the experienced recreational diver such as myself who has been over 150 feet several time and down to 200, I would differ about some of his comments. Still this is a top quality read. One thing I did not like about the Titanic is it had pages..and pages...and pages...and chapter about the structure of the vessel..too much for the non-technical reader. Not so here.

Spoilers! Although some nuances of the navigation errors were too technical for readers like myself who lack a background in shipping navigation, the causes of the collision will be clear enough for general readers. This meticulous background may be slightly boring for these general readers, but only comprises perhaps 20 percent of the book. It certainly gives one a sincere admiration for the author's knowledge and amazing research. The largest, and for me the most enjoyable part, is the description of the collision and the aftermath, which is amazingly detailed, recounting virtually each passenger who was injured or who died as a direct result of the collision, or due to fatal injuries sustained either in the collision or in the rescue. His very detailed recounting of the rescue is deeply affecting and one is filled with admiration for how when mankind cooperates, he accomplishes miracles. That so few lives were lost is amazing, in view of the significant damage suffered by both ships. If one views the excellent photos (some of these won the Pulitzer Prize) at the back of the kindle edition first, it will give a clearer perspective to the narrative. The photos make it very plain that had the seas been high, or in storm conditions, instead of calm seas, probably all lives on both ships would have been lost. The collision occurring in calm seas, in a well travelled route relatively close to shore created a favorable climate for rescue. This book will appeal to many: those who appreciate a well-told tale of adventure, professional or hobby seamen, and those interested in the golden age of big ships.

This book was enlightening as the first part of the book described the errors in judgement both crews made as they were approached. The backgrounds and personalities of the captains were insightful as well. The second part of this book took me to court hearings ascertaining who was actually at fault. I did enjoy this book, however, the court hearings became rather monotonous. I honestly can't recommend this book to most readers. Perhaps those interested in ship history will enjoy the book.

The book blends the technical aspects of the collision with the very human stories of the crews and passengers in both ships.

absolutely fascinating..remembers when it happened and was horrified thinking of all the people aboard and what they must have gone thru...I have a great fear of the ocean and will never go on a cruise...I know many who have gone multiple times and loved it, not me, I will stay in dry dock forever. Read this interesting book, I couldn't put it down.

I won't summarize this book's main narrative because the tale of the collision of the Stockholm with the Andrea Doria is well known and available in many places. This book is the subsequent edition of a book I read as a child; the incident took place in my childhood and I remember being appalled that two ships in "all that ocean" might collide. My one kvetch with this updated edition is the inclusion of recent diving onto the Doria's wreck, and the dangerous conditions and the lives it has claimed. Surely that has little to do with the actual incident itself. I think those pages would've been better filled with a more thorough investigation over what actually happened on that July night -- did the Doria cross into Stockholm's path, or was it the other way 'round? Which members of the command team of both ships had it right? They could not have been traveling on opposite sides as it's explained in the book, for that would be impossible. I'd like to have seen a thorough, updated explanation of why at least one of the command personnel had to have been mistaken in his judgment.

The Great Zimbabwe: The History and Legacy of the Medieval Kingdom of Zimbabwe’s Capital were somewhat interesting because of the limited information this e-book presented. The most interesting parts of the book describe how many archaeologist/explorers could not or would not believe that Black Africans were capable creating greater Zimbabwe. 30 years or so ago if scientists in Rhodesia even indicated the possibility thatBlack Africans created Greater Zimbabwe they would be deported from the country. At least some Portuguese traders had the opportunity to see the Greater Zimbabwe culture before collapsing. Anyone interested in Black African culture would find this book interesting.

This is an awfully obscure subject that people probably know nothing about, but it's an interesting story that weaves European exploration of the African continent with advanced scientific and technological knowledge to help explain the Great Zimbabwe site and when and why it was built. For anyone interested in Africa, this is a good book.

I bought it because I have traveled to Zimbabwe twice.

James Cone is undeniably one of the most important theologians of the last century, and this book helps the reader to understand an important development in his thought. Cone burst onto the academic scene with "Black Theology Black Power" (1969) and quickly followed up this work with "A Black Theology of Liberation" (1970). In these two texts Cone founds Black Liberation Theology as an academic discipline, and brilliantly argues that the Black Power movement was the gospel that racist America, and those oppressed by it, needed to hear.Cone's first two books, however, suffered from the fact that he was almost exclusively drawing upon white theologians in his quest to craft an authentically Black theology. This drew criticisms from various sectors of the theological community - perhaps most pointedly from his brother Cecil Wayne Cone in "The Identity Crisis in Black Theology - and Cone took those criticisms to heart. "The Spirituals and the Blues" is Cone's first attempt to craft theology from Black sources indigenous to America, namely the spirituals and the blues. Cone draws inspiration from the spirituals that sustained enslaved Black Americans and nurtured him in his spiritual upbringing, and argues that the blues - while not explicitly religious - are in fact a theological counterpart to the spirituals. This work then has a profound impact on Cone's mature systematic work "God of the Oppressed" and has borne fruit in more recent Black Liberation and Womanist thought that has drawn theological insight from slave narratives, the hush harbor church, the experiences of Black female domestic workers, etc. This work significantly broadened the academic field of Black Liberation Theology, and has significantly enriched theological discourse in America.
